1bunch(225g / 8 oz)swiss chardleaves + stems
2tbspolive oil
1small onionsliced
2clovesgarlicminced
1pinchsea saltor to taste
1pinchblack pepper
1tbspwater
¼tspred pepper flakesoptional
1tbsplemon juice
Instructions
Wash the chard and separate the leaves from the stems. Roughly chop the leaves and slice the stalks into 1-inch pieces.
In a frying pan on medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the chard stems and onion and sauté for 3 minutes.
Add the garlic, chard leaves, salt, pepper, water and optional red pepper flakes. Sauté for another 3 - 4 minutes until the leaves have wilted down and are tender to your liking.
Sprinkle over the lemon juice and stir it in. Remove from heat and serve.
