Vegan on Board is a celebration of food and freedom, and we invite you all to jump on board!
Hey there!! It's Sophie and Paul and we're delighted you're here. We started Vegan on Board in 2018 to share the recipes we created and collected on our travels in our campervan, Ronnie.
We might have a tiny kitchen, but we have a big and varied appetite! So we share a variety of vegan recipes - from nourishing meals to make in a campervan, to the indulgent cakes we love to make when we find a oven to bake in! The one thing that all our recipes have in common is that they're all vegan and all TASTY!
We're happy you've found you way to us here at Vegan on Board, and we hope that you enjoy the adventure ahead.
With love,
Sophie, Paul and Ronnie

Meet the Team
Your driver Paul...
With an ever expanding cupboard of spices and a dedication to making super tasty food, Paul will take you on a fully flavoured journey fueled by passion and plants.
Coming from the Wachau in Austria - the valley of apricots and vines, satisfying food is essential to his enjoyment of life. Originally a meat and dairy eater he's transitioned to a plantbased diet since meeting Sophie. When he arrived in the UK he missed the Sourdough Bread of his home country so much that he simply started baking it himself. The perfect pairing of a creative and a scientific mind means he's constantly inventing, experimenting and refining recipes. Apple Curry anyone?!
When not on the road, Paul leads cooking sessions for Foodcycle Cambridge and creates fabulous food out of supermarket surplus. And when Paul isn't absorbed in the world of food, you can find him jamming on his guitar and making Sophie smile.
Your navigator Sophie....
Sophie has the job of keeping Paul on track and Ronnie on the road. She likes more simple recipes, perhaps because she's the one that has to do all the washing up! She's the vegan on board and the one sharing all the mouthwatering food photos on our instagram. She believes that amazing food tastes even better when you enjoy it in beautiful places.
She loves to connect with nature and you can often find her skinny dipping in a mountain lake. Coming from Cambridge, UK she's not a natural mountain hiker, but can be motivated by the promise of a basket full of mushrooms or foraged berries.
And Ronnie - the van that keeps them together!
Ronnie is much more than a campervan. Ronnie is a home on wheels, journeying to amazing places and exploring the freedom of the road. Ronnie hosts a tiny kitchen, equipped with a two burner hob and grill and a trusty pressure cooker. Ronnie loves it when Sophie and Paul cook up delicious plant based food to keep them all fuelled for adventure!
Ronnie is happiest when by lake, sea or forest and takes great pleasure going on foraging trips and discover new things. When not on the road Ronnie lives with Sophie and Paul in Cambridge, while they earn diesel money so they can all go on exciting roadtrips together!
