Two white bowls of green soup on a wooden board next to a small bunch of wild garlic leaves and flowers

    10. Creamy Wild Garlic Soup

A sliced vegan chorizo on a wooden board, next to tomatoes and olives

    9. Vegan Chorizo

Readers have been impressed with this vegan recipe for a Spanish chorizo sausage. It’s chewy, spicy, salty and loaded with flavour. It makes a great sandwich filling and goes great in hot dishes, like with pasta - but our favourite way to eat this vegan chorizo is on pizza!

A bite of vegan schnitzel on a fork is lifted from a plate with potato salad on the side.

    8. Vegan Schnitzel

The iconic Austrian dish of Schnitzel made No. 8 in this list! And we show you that you don’t need a meat substitute to make vegan schnitzel. We like to make it with celeriac for a savoury taste and an amazing tender texture. What will your schnitzel be made from?

A small dish of crispy, golden brown crisps next to a plate of rocket

    7. Spicy Potato Peel Crisps

We don’t often peel our potatoes. But when we do, we don’t let the peels go to waste… We make some awesome potato peel crisps! It’s easy, tasty, and a great way to reduce food waste. You can also customize the flavour with herbs and spices of your choice.

A fork digs in to a plate of creamy spaghetti carbonara with smoked tofu bits on top

    6. Vegan Carbonara

This easy vegan classic carbonara has a creamy sauce made with soft silken tofu and bits of fried and flavour-infused smoked tofu. Rich in protein and absolutely mouthwatering! A worthy representative to pasta dishes in the list of our ten most popular recipes this year!

Cubes of tofu coated in a sticky lemon sauce

    5. Sticky Lemon Tofu

Possibly our favourite way to eat tofu, inspired by the Chinese takeaway favourite of lemon chicken. So tasty, but actually so simple to make. No matter how much we make, we always want more… Our sticky lemon tofu earned its place as the most popular dinner recipe on Vegan on Board!

A hand tears open a bread on a stick cooked on a campfire

    4. Campfire Bread on a Stick Recipe

A glass of elderflower cordial mixed with sparkling water

    2. Homemade Elderflower Cordial

This is just the most wonderful, refreshing floral drink! It’s not just us who think so, you just have to take a look at the comments it gets...
This recipe, slightly adapted from Paul’s grandmother’s, uses less sugar than most other recipes, which brings out the wonderful flavour of elderflowers and a fresh little tang! from the lemons.

Despite being a very seasonal recipe, this elderflower cordial almost made it to the top in the list of Vegan on Board’s most popular recipes of 2020… The only other recipe viewed more often was…

A jar of runny vegan honey made from dandelion flowers

    1. Vegan Dandelion Honey

We were really surprised and nonplussed when our vegan dandelion honey recipe went off the charts and a bit viral in March! The flavour of this vegan honey replacement convinced a lot of people out there, increased our traffic tenfold and earned this recipe the title of the most popular recipe on Vegan On Board!

We hope that these recipes inspire you! We for sure are motivated to create plenty more tasty vegan recipes for you to enjoy.
